Maruti Suzuki has recalled the new generation Swift and Dzire models in India over faulty airbag controller. As part of the recall, the automaker will inspect possible fault in the 1279 vehicles comprising 566 Swift and 713 Dzire models manufactured between May 7 and July 5, 2018.
Maruti Suzuki says the campaign will kick off on July 25, 2018. The Maruti Suzuki dealers will contact the owners of the affected vehicles for inspection and free of cost replacement of the component.
If the customers want to ascertain if their vehicle is part of the recall, they can visit Maruti Suzuki’s website and fill out their chassis number, embossed on the vehicle ID plate and can also be found in the vehicle invoice or registration documents.
Customers can also reach out to their respective Maruti Suzuki dealer to verify if their vehicle is part of the recall.
