Volkswagen is all set to bring Polo R at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, scheduled to be held in March. Volkswagen’s head of Research & Development, Ulrich Hachenberg, has confirmed the news.
Ulrich Hachenberg has revealed this small piece of information to Autocar magazine. According to reports, the vehicle will get its power from a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, which will deliver 225 hp, which means you can expect it to be faster than the Golf GTI. The vehicle can reach to a top speed of 241 km/h (150 mph) with a 0 to 100 km/h time of six seconds.
According to Hachenberg, new Volkswagen Golf RVW is also in the works and it will support a “good, powerful 2.0-liter engine.” The vehicle is expected to be ready by 2013 or 2014.
