Few days ago, Caterham Supercharged R600 Superlight was teased, and now it has been unveiled officially.
The automaker’s most powerful car ever is also the first car which uses forced induction. The car gets its power from a supercharged version of Ford’s Duratec 2.0-liter engine, delivering 275 hp and a torque of 271 Nm.
“ss the fastest Seven we’ve ever built, this will provide our existing R300 racers with a real step up and a new and exciting challenge, even for experienced drivers. The R600 represents an increase in aggressiveness, although the linear power delivery of the supercharged engine makes it superbly driveable, much like the R300,” Caterham’s Motorsport Director, Simon Lambert, said.
The vehicle is costly enough to burn a hole in your pocket as it comes with a price tag of £44,995 (€56,000 / $72,700). But, it certainly deserves this price.
