Hyundai likely to launch Diesel i10 in India in 2013October 3, 2012 by: Deepak
With the small car market in India seeing a tremendous growth, the automakers are coming up with more ways to make their small cars more affordable and popular in a bid to sell them like hot cakes.
With the rising petrol prices in the country, people are going for diesel vehicles rather than the petrol version. Taking note of this, Hyundai is likely to bring a diesel model of its popular i10 in 2013, say reports.
According to reports, the car will be available for sale at an affordable price since it will be produced in India. The new car is likely to get a 1.1 litre 3-cylinder diesel CRDi variant.
Currently, the city car comes in petrol version only and is equipped with 1.1 or 1.2-liter engine. Rumor has it that the diesel i10 will deliver 75 hp.
