India: Pre-launch booking for new Maruti Alto 800 begins [Review]October 2, 2012 by: Deepak
Maruti Suzuki India, the country’s largest carmaker, is all set to launch the new version of its best selling small car, Alto, on October 16.
Named Maruti Alto 800, the car will compete with Tata Nano and the Hyundai EON as it is said to be an affordable car, targeting common man. The all new Alto will also come with a CNG option.
“We want to do what we were doing and even better with the Alto 800 coming in,” Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) Vice President Market Manohar Bhat said.
Well, the latest news is that Maruti Suzuki has started accepting pre-orders for Alto 800. If Indian folks want to book their order, they can feel free to visit the official web page of Alto 800 – http://www.marutisuzukialto800.com/ and the booking amount is Rs 5000.
According to reports, the specifications of the car are most likely to be:
Engine: 796 cc petrol engine
Fuel economy: 22.7 kmpl
Variant: Six – three CNG and three Petrol
Mileage: Petrol variant – 23 kilometre per litre, CNG variant – 31 kilometre per litre
Interiors: Fashionable and trendy, the car with stylish headlamps, better headroom and legroom.
Interior: Dual tone upholstery
Rear leg space: 15mm
Price: Petrol version – between Rs 2.5 lakh and Rs 3 lakh, CNG version – between Rs 3 lakh and Rs 3.5 lakh
