Hyundai Elantra’s 6th generation car marks the phase of Indian auto industry where Fluidic design language was introduced into the mainstream market. At a price of 12.51 lakhs for the petrol version and 12.91 lakhs for the diesel one this fluidity comes cheap.
This car has been making people happy overseas and after its launch in New Delhi it’s time for the Indian market to enjoy some fluidity. The fluid Elantra goes smooth on the eyes, and looks elegant with all the flowing lines around. It has class written all over it.
The petrol version has three models namely the base version, Hyundai Elantra S and Hyundai Elantra SX and diesel variant again gets three versions a base variant, Hyundai Elantra S, Hyundai Elantra SX. The petrol variant flaunts a 1.8 – 4 cylinder litre VTVT engine going for 150bhp and 177Nm torque while the diesel variant comes with a 1.6-litre VGT engine that sees 128bhp and 259Nm of torque.
Along with the better looks the fuel efficiency gets uplift with the Automatic version giving 19.1 km/l and the manual transmission one providing a commendable 22.1 km/l. Along with the revamped look, the car comes with some great features. Here’s a list of what we can expect when we ride in this: heated door mirrors and steering wheel, electric front seats with driver’s seat memory function, ventilated front seats, cruise control, touch-screen infotainment system with sat-nav and Bluetooth, panoramic sunroof, front and rear parking sensors and leather upholstery, Keyless entry with start/stop function, Anti-lock Braking System, Electronic Stability Programme , Two air bags in the base and six in top end variant.
