Video: Hiriko Fold EV unveiled in SpainAugust 7, 2012 by: Rituraj Mishra
Sometime ago we were talking about this car that would change the way cars play a role in cities. For the most crowded places this was supposed to be the perfect solution, because its name Hiriko Fold is not just literal. It does fold and takes up minimum space possible. This is the EV that many cities around the world might have been waiting for.
The car has been designed by MIT, will be built in Spain and is expected to be available by the next year. With all its cuteness and innovation the car won’t go more than 60km/hr. A folding mechanism with a four wheel drive, now you can give a slip to traffic jams for real.
One will have to shrug off $15,500 before getting rid of traffic and while at first look it seems pricey for such a small vehicle, you will reap the benefits in long runs. Saving a lot of time from traffic comes at a price.
