Kia Carens MPV: Next-Gen Character Car revealed ahead of Paris Motor ShowJuly 26, 2012 by: Nishant Panwar
An old trick of marketing – show less – hide more, so that the customer has more urge to see what comes next.
Same is in the case of Kia who has shown a couple of computer rendered images of their next car “Carens”, a sleek new MPV design, which is set to unveil at the Paris Motor Show on September 27th.
“With a completely fresh, sleek, cab-forward design, lower roofline, longer wheelbase, larger wheels (up to 18-inch) and chrome beltline accent, the new Carens has been conceived around the theme ‘responsive space’. The new Carens will combine sporty looks with spacious functionality and an emotional appeal that is becoming a regular feature of Kia products,” Kia says.
The Kia Carens has a total different outlook with elongated headlights and strong grille somewhat similar to the Cee’d. The length of the car is also one of the interesting parts in its profile.
“We will launch a five-seat and seven-seat compact minivan that will replace both the Carens and Carnival,” said Paul Philpott in a previous statement.
The car was developed in collaboration with Hyundai who is going to market is as ix30. It has also come to notice that Carens will be called Rondo in some markets and will be offered with an optional all wheel drive.
Its looks and styling explains its character and character is what speaks for anyone.
