Land Rover launches Defender XTech Special EditionJuly 10, 2012 by: Nishant Panwar
We all are eagerly waiting for the next generation of defender, even the designers are preparing for the next version. The marketing division guys as always have a different plan; they are more focused on the present version trying to make the most of it and a special version of the present version, call the XTech.
The special version is available in three-door and five-door body styles with two special body colors i.e Orkney Grey or Nara Bronze. Putting up a contrast to the model is the Santorini black roof and wheel arches. The outside looks impressive with ‘DEFENDER’ decal above the rear LED lights along with the Gloss Black Saw Tooth 16-inch alloy wheels wrapped around MTR off-road tyres .
Seats and the central panel get matching colors like the body and Land Rover is embossed in the front headrests while Defender is embossed on the carpet mats. Other standard features include Air Conditioning, Anti-Lock Brakes with Electronic Traction Control, central locking with remote control and heated seats and windscreen.
2.2-liter turbo diesel with 120hp and 265 lb-ft (360Nm) of peak torque coupled with the six-speed transmission from Land Rover makes up for the power requirements in XTech. Order can be given now in UK with the minimum price lurking at £27,995.
