Video: Everything you need to know about the Cadillac HT4100 engineJune 25, 2012 by: Rituraj Mishra
There was time when Cadillac’s actually ruled with their engines, maybe 30 years back in time, but something definitely did not go right for General Motors as they ended up in despair with their V8. Recent diesel models from GM’s every brand has finally stitched up the tethered reputation it had. To further more repair the damage GM introduced the HT4100 V8, a desperate attempt.
Built in a highly-automated, computer-intensive plant HT4100 V8 was a lighter and cleaner version of the previous version and GM really were riding high on the newly developed engine. While the video said the engine is a complete success and will continue to hold on in the future, the customers had a different version of it, which sounded something like this “We call it high technology, but we hope you’ll call it just another pleasant Cadillac experience. Nothing special, just another example of high thinking and low execution resulting in GM’s third failed attempt.
What is good about is that finally GM has the chance to take a look at the mistakes they have committed and learn from them. This may not help them build the next big thing but for sure they will not defame themselves either.
