First looks can be deceptive, and most of the times they are. For instance when you first look at this 2011 Toyota Tundra, it looks to have been mugged coming on its way to Barrett-Jackson. A second look will reveal that the beat up and rugged look has been done by the custom paint of Sherwin-Williams.
Clint Bowyer, the NASCAR driver built this car and it is a prime example of a car having many classic design elements like vertical bar grille, a wood bed floor and vintage looking 20-inch wheels. The Toyota written is pinstripe has been hand painted. Along with the exterior the interior has been taken to the vintage times.
Toyota gave this truck to Barrett-Jackson, where it was supposed to be auctioned and the money was to be given to the Emporia Community Foundation as part of charity. Bidding was low initially stuck at $30,000 but Bowyer then added a Driver’s suit and a trip to next year’s Daytona 500 which helped the final price reach $100,000. Anything for charity.
