Real Car for Kids: Toyota Camatte unveiled at 2012 Tokyo Toy Show [Video]June 14, 2012 by: Rituraj Mishra
The Toyota Camatte concept has been revealed and the company chose the 2012 Tokyo Toy Show for that. It would raise the curiosity as to why a toy show and I would like to tell you because it is a car that a kid can drive. It is a real car that can be driven by kids, although Toyota has made it clear that it is not legal on roads and kids could drive this only on their private roads and properties.
Camatte comes in two different body styles and can be easily customized and repaired, which is trait ti encourage kids to get interested in the car and get a knowhow of the way cars are operated and worked upon. For safety reasons it has the feature of allowing a passenger to override steering, throttle and brakes if needed.
Our only concern is that if it’s not road legal, why any kid would consider this as an option as they already have go-karts that are double the fun. Let’s see how Toyota plays it down.
