Video: PGO unveils e-Hemera HybridJune 12, 2012 by: Rituraj Mishra
PGO is an uncommon name in the field of automobiles. Mainly because it is a small and independent car manufacturing company and it is French. The two things together is a rare combination. So, today we are here to make PGO more known and discuss their well known Hemera sports car. Do not confuse the car for a Porsche 356, although it looks like its twin sister.
Weighing less than 1 ton, having power of 140hp from its 2.0 liter engine, people have found the car to be a fun driving experience. What’s new is that, PGO is now taking a step into the future with a hybrid version of the Hemera sports car which will be featuring a 15kWh battery pack. The battery packs supports the car for a good 90 km which is then replenished by a two-cylinder range extender powered by E85 ethanol instead of Gasoline.
Oh and just so you know, the car still uses the standard Hemera’s 5-cog manual gearbox in combination with the electric motor. Let’s just see how much fun the hybrid is.
