1928 Windhoff 746cc Four is a classic beautyJune 8, 2012 by: Rituraj Mishra
Windhoff Brothers founded the Windhoff motorcycle company in 1880 in Berlin, Germany. In those times they amazed people with the bikes they built. Think about Windhoff four as being the best motorcycle in 1920’s that had a 746cc overhead camshaft, oil-cooled engine.
You can judge what these motorcycle meant, by the quote from motorcycle historian Erwin Tragatch which goes like this “the most unique, progressive and beautiful motorcycle ever made.”
The motorcycle was sold at Bonham’s auction in 2008 for a reported sum of £100,500. Looks like the Owner could not handle the amazing bike and for some reasons he wants the privilege to pass on to someone else. Hence the bike is again getting auctioned at Classic Motorcycle Show in Stafford on 29th April 2012.
Price is estimated to be somewhere around min and max of £100,000 – £130,000. So, people who are in Stafford or close by. Take a bus shell out some bucks and ride a classic home.
