Quick Review: 2012 Triumph Tiger ExplorerMay 24, 2012 by: Rituraj Mishra
Triumph has been working continuously to work for the betterment of their bikes and making it more suitable for the varied needs of the riders. In its attempt to satisfy the dirt fans, it has come up with the new 2012 Tiger Explorer which suggests Triumph is going off-road again.
All praises to the dirt-usable tires and a plastic guard that does make the off-roader thing feasible. The new motor is larger than 1200 cc and comes with shaft drive. Other than that features like cruise control, switchable ABS and traction control are standard.
It has a DOHC inlien-3 engine which comes with a 6-speed transmission. Suspension comes from Kayaba and it stands on a dry weight of 570 pounds.
The bike is priced at $15,999 and its features quite in tune with the demands one crazy dirt-biker would have, so it’s a deal.
