After rough sketch, first official photo of Hyundai i-oniq concept leaks out ahead of GenevaMarch 2, 2012 by: Rituraj Mishra
We talked about it a few months back, when only a rough sketch was available for us to gaze upon. And the sketch did get us excited for a new design language by Hyundai had been used, and the concept was to be unveiled only at the Geneva show, but what would you know! Even with such efforts to hide and keep the surprise alive, internet finally extracted its dose of leaking secrets for the day.
Yes, the i-oniq concept has leaked and the car looks beautiful in a strange way though. “Fluid Sculpture” design language, totally visible here and kudos to Hyundai, it is a good looking car.
At 173 inches it is just a little bit smaller than BMW Series 3 coupe. For the tech spec all we have is that i-oniqis a serial hybrid fitted with displacement gasoline engine that gets the battery up along with a pair of motors for the rear wheels.
This is what we have now, but since the concept has been leaked it is only a matter of time that we get our hands on to all the details. Of course the company will be revealing it, what option do they have now!!!
