Contact: Renault’s future concept of Luxury carsJanuary 31, 2012 by: Rituraj Mishra
Getting into the mainstream car production has never been a bad bet, but for Renault it resulted in the dismantling of their luxury car segment. At least for the last decade or so, it is all over the place with economy cars, but hardly anything to show off in higher price tags.
All of a sudden now, Renault’s back into the luxury car segment and its intentions look visible with their futuristic concept car Contact. A whole new approach to designing by Christopher Proessler resulted in a very sensational piece, that makes an impression in the first moment. The designing is crucial and with the luxury associated, every time you travel, it will be an experience and not just a journey.
The shapes of today and the architecture of modern cars have been left far behind when compared with Contact’s shape and design. Minimal use of names and tags on body gives a clean, pure and classy look to the Contact. When seen in today’s scenario it looks like a rebel.
Looking closely we can see that it isn’t a complete box where you will be tapped, neither it is open in a harmful way. Keeps you connected to the nature while making sure the ride is fun and safe. Luxurious interiors and promising features make this ride worth the wait. With the special design pattern, it will be more of flowing that riding.
Renault might be winning some hearts with their concept, coz frankly it is adorable to watch. Great work by Christopher of course.
