Brand Mitsubishi needs no introduction, but the latest news from the company is their plan of launching global showstopper Pajero Sport by 15th February, 2012. This car is actually the Mitsubishi Challenger 2008 which is being launched under the pseudonym of Pajero in the Asian markets. The reason that caused delay in the launch of the vehicle was Thailand Floods and things returning back to normalcy, it is being launched in India.
First the car is going to come as a Completely Built-Up Units and when the company is sure of the steady demand of the car, the production strategy is going to be shifted to Completely Knocked down Units for which the assembling will be done at HM’s plant in Thiruvallur.
The engine of this SUV is a 2.5 liter Diesel power train with 134 BHP and 320 Nm of torque raising capability. The option of manual and automatic transmission is both available and fuel economy is also very good. 7 Passengers could easily be accommodated in this car and estimates of several experts on the price are about 22 lacs. Toyota Fortuner and BMW X1 are its near competitors to capture the market share.
